A BBC television crew is filming a new drama with the working title The Choir Project on the moors above Monks Road. The series of six one-hour episodes is written by Debbie Horsfield (writer of Cutting It and Sex, Chips and Rock'n'Roll), who lives in Broadbottom.
It stars Richard Fleeshman (above) and Sarah Lancashire (left) - and local extras - and will be shown on BBC 1 in late January 2009. And Glossop's Chris O'Hara is the music arranger.
